The Gungahlin College World Challenge group recently travelled to Cambodia and Vietnam during week 10 and the September holidays. During the Cambodia stay students were lucky enough to work at an underprivileged school in a small community. Students completed works on a produce garden and other tasks to improve the school. The group lived in staff accommodation with the locals who taught them how to speak some Khmer language. The other two weeks of the trip were spent hiking for five days in the Vietnamese central highlands and seeing the sights of Saigon and the Nha Trang coast. The group saw some amazing things and learnt about the atrocities of war and suppression. A trip that will set these students up for a life of travel and adventure.
