This follows the appointment of John Alston-Campbell to the role of Acting Principal of UC Senior Secondary College Lake Ginninderra. Steve will continue his work in this capacity overseeing student wellbeing and Steph Boxall has been appointed as Acting Director of PE and Student Services.
YEAR 11 AST TRIAL FEEDBACK SESSION
The AST Trial feedback session for Year 11 students in a tertiary package will be held on Wednesday 25 October.
Attendance is compulsory for all students who want an ATAR in 2018. You will need come to the Theatre foyer between 8.25–8.30am to collect your short-response and writing task papers, and then move into the Theatre. The markers of each paper will provide feedback. The session will be finished in time for E line classes.
Students who cannot attend due to illness or previously organised commitments need to see Emily Squires in the College Library office after the session to collect your exam papers. Students who sat the AST trial but are changing, or have changed, to an Accredited package, should also let her know.
V GRADE ALERTS
On Thursday 26 October the College will email out V grade alerts to parents of students who have three or more unexplained absences in a unit or have not submitted a piece of assessment. These are warnings only. If a student receives an alert, it means that they are likely to be awarded a V grade if they do not take immediate action to explain any missed classes or submit any missed assessment. Please contact class teachers for the details of any particular alert.
Please note there are several mechanisms in place to support students that are facing challenges with attendance and assessment. These include study support in Blended Learning and The Alumni Tutor Program. Please contact Steve Collins should you wish to learn more about these programs.
